2013 Bootcamp Logsitics

**PARKING**

Paying attendees and Par Lab Affiliates may pick up parking passes by going to the registration desk located outside of the Banatao Auditorium in Sutardja Dai Hall. You may then park your car in the Lower Hearst Parking Structure, located on the corner of Hearst and Scenic streets.

Other attendees may park in the paid public parking spaces in the structure at La Loma and Hearst, or Scenic and Hearst. Please note that machines take cash only (no credit cards) and run about $15 for all-day parking. Should you choose to try your luck with street parking, note that most streets allow only 2-hour parking, are heavily patrolled by DPT and parking tickets will cost you $41.

**FOOD AND BEVERAGE**
Coffee will be available in the Citris lobby in the morning, but is not allowed inside the Citris Auditorium.

View a list of on-campus eateries at the Cal Parents website. There are many restaurants located just across the street on Hearst Ave. and Euclid Ave.

**HANDS-ON SESSIONS**

Lab sessions will be held Monday from 5pm - 6pm and Tuesday from 3pm - 6pm. All sessions will be held in Soda Hall (see map. Room 380 and the 4th Floor Wozniak Lounge will be used for the hands-on sessions.

Online Participants
Online attendees are welcome to do the homework assignments on your own platforms or using your XSEDE account. (Please note that the deadline for registering for an XSEDE account was August 10).

On-Site Participants
If you want to do the hands-on assignments, you have the option of using a parallel computer provided by the local DOE supercomputing facility NERSC. You will need to provide your own laptop, and get an Airbears account login(for wireless access) during registration. You will also need to fill out a form to get an account.
